How do I use Audacity for recording?

Audacity is free, open source, cross-platform audio software. Despite its zero cost, it's a capable audio editor that gives you pretty much the same features you previously had to pay good money for.

Audacity is often the software of choice for beginning narrators and podcasters. As such, there are lots of online resources on how to use it, so we decided not to develop our own training for it.

Audacity has a good tutorial available on their website, and we can also recommend the Basic or Podcasting Audacity courses at LinkedIn Learning (there is a 30-day free trial).
