Welcome to our innovative virtual hands-on training center! This platform is designed to empower you on your volunteer journey. Here, you'll embark on personalized learning paths tailored to your chosen role, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to make a real difference.
Through interactive courses, dedicated mentors, and practical exercises, you'll gain the confidence to tackle real-world projects and become a valuable asset to our community.
Learning Ally offers audiobooks in two formats that best serve students' needs: Classic Audio (generally textbooks) and VOICEtext (generally juvenile fiction). All audiobook creation happens through a vibrant volunteer community! Our Textbook Community volunteers and staff collaborate to produce Classic Audiobooks, following a specific production process and meeting designated qualifications for their roles. Similarly, a dedicated Literature Community of volunteers and staff create VOICEtext audiobooks. These volunteers also have their own unique production steps and volunteer requirements.

Audiobook Fans Interested in Training
Before you dive into the onboarding or training modules, we have some important information specifically for audiobook fans interested in volunteering:
Head over to the Opportunities page in our Volunteer Portal: We list all the current volunteer roles available. We only train for those specific positions, so checking there first is important.
Explore roles within Textbooks & Literature communities; find a volunteer opportunity that aligns with your interests and skills.
Complete the Interest Form application for your chosen role: Let us know you're interested!
Our staff will review your application: We'll match you with the perfect training program based on your application within 3-4 days.
Once you've completed these steps, come on back and follow the detailed process outlined below to officially begin your journey as a production volunteer.
